This contemporary work represents a Tuareg atop a camel, an emblematic figure of desert regions and nomadic travel. The scene is treated in a figurative way, with a balanced composition and a strong presence of the central figure.
The background is made with gold leaf, deliberately applied irregularly, creating a textured surface that catches the light and adds depth and relief to the whole. Hints of turquoise and red enrich the composition and dialogue with the warm tones of the gold.
The figure, dressed in blue and partially veiled, is depicted with sobriety and expressiveness. The camel occupies an important place in the composition, treated with particular attention to volumes and material.
