Concept and Design:
Lot composed of two decorative relief plaques in an artisanal style that pay homage to two of the most emblematic Olympic moments of the 20th century: the VIII Olympiad Paris 1924 and the IX Olympiad Amsterdam 1928. Each piece features a three-dimensional sports action figure on a hand-painted background with period typography.
Paris 1924 plaque: Represents a javelin thrower, capturing the aesthetics of sports poster design from the 1920s.
Amsterdam 1928 plaque: Shows a long-distance runner crossing the finish line, with the Olympic flag in the background.
Constructive Details:
Material: Polychrome wood and resin/plaster for the relief figures.
