Rare complete set in 10 volumes, in uniform full leather bindings from the period (18th century), containing the complete works of Sir Esprit Fléchier, famous French preacher and académicien.
This Nîmes edition of 1772 is one of the most complete published in the 18th century, revised from the author’s manuscripts and augmented with additional pieces.
The set includes:
• Frontispiece engraved portrait
• Complete title pages in each volume
• Text printed on period laid paper
• Gold-tooled spine I to X
• Back covers decorated with gilded lines
Condition
Good overall condition for a set of more than 250 years.
• Solid, uniform period bindings
• Normal wear to the headcaps and corners
• Light rubbing on the boards
• Clean interiors
• Some scattered freckles without severity
• No missing pages observed
Coherent and decorative overall, perfectly presentable in a library.
