Conditions: The work is, overall, in good condition, but it has undergone restoration on the front to address an humidity issue, which is visible on the back (see the crease that runs horizontally across the lower part). On the front the restoration is barely noticeable and only under certain lighting; the work is, overall, stunning.
Our gallery has had a thirty-year relationship with Luca Alinari, for whom we organized his first solo show precisely in 1972. As described, the work comes directly from Alinari’s studio and has never left our gallery. It was revisited by the maestro in our gallery in 2009 and Luca wanted to leave a dedication on the back and, considering this work important, he decided to have himself photographed with the painting (Alinari is on the right in the photo). A piece of history with a corpus more unique than rare.
