Description from the seller
Flo Jaouen, an emerging artist, is a graduate of the Beaux-Arts de Paris. Her works are part of the Narrative Figuration movement. Fascinated by shapes and human expressions, she draws from the diversity of emotions and personalities an inexhaustible source of inspiration.
Her paintings go beyond mere representations of postures or actions; they deeply explore the states of mind and the interiority of her characters, thereby creating locked rooms, boundary surfaces and zones of dialogue between consciousness and the unconscious, withdrawal into oneself and openness to others, identity and otherness.
Flo Jaouen sees her canvases as theater scenes where she becomes the director, guiding her characters through rich and complex narratives.
Each creation is animated by the same joy and creativity that filled her childhood games, when she created imaginary universes.
Today, this playful and imaginative approach is reflected in her works where each canvas becomes the stage for a new human adventure.
At the time I painted this canvas, I was interested in movement and expressionism. This work is painted with brush and knife, with energy and speed. It sits at the boundary of abstract and figurative.
With certificate of authenticity.
