The painting was created with a special and unusual technique. The artist uses no brushes for his art, applying the acrylic paint directly by hand to the canvas. The paint is poured very thinly onto unprimed cotton fabric and massaged into the fabric. This allows the color to penetrate deeply into the fabric and there are no brush strokes visible. This process is repeated several times. The paintings consist of up to ten layers of color. This creates very delicate color transitions and nuances that are difficult to reproduce accurately in photos.
