Silver frame from the 19th century, repoussé and chasing finely worked, as visible in the acanthus leaf decorations.
Probably intended for noble portraits in polychrome enamels, excellent Italian craftsmanship.
It has no particular signs of breakage or repairs.
Beautiful intact example of a repoussé and chasing frame.

Cornice in argento XIX secolo, a sbalzo e cesello finemente lavorata, come visibile nei decori a foglie di acanto.
Probabilmente destinata a ritratti nobiliari in smalti policromi, ottima manifattura italiana.
Non presenta segni particolari di rotture o riparazioni.
Bellissimo esemplare intatto di cornice a sbalzo e cesello.
Effettuato test con acido per argento come da foto.
