Description from the seller
Seen, whose real name is Richard Mirando, was born in 1961 in the Bronx where he grew up. Nicknamed the Godfather of Graffiti, Seen now lives between Paris and New York.
In 1981, he stood alongside Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, and Basquiat at the exhibition “New York, New Wave” at PS1 in New York.
Seen continues to exhibit solo or with groups with artists such as Banksy and Obey Giant. He is among the artists represented at the exhibition “Urban Conquest” at the Calais Beaux-Arts Museum in 2019.
Seen set the world record for the most expensive graffiti painting, Superman Who, 2009, at $96,000, on February 15, 2012. He surpassed the previous record held by JonOne in 2007, before being surpassed by Kaws in 2015.
I am therefore selling this magnificent painting, a unique 1/1 in rare colors, signed by him, with dimensions of about 71 x 56 cm and a white 5 cm border allowing you to mount it or frame it in an American-style frame.
The painting is new, bought directly from his studio. It has only been unpacked for the photos.
Rare on the market. It is an ideal investment, the value of this artist continues to rise.
Shipped safely in a rigid tube with insurance and with signature required for delivery.
