A delightful and atmospheric oil on panel eraly -mid 20th century view on the iconic Lincoln Cathedral, historic inland harbor, with barges, cranes and smoking vessels.
Loose, vibrant brushwork. Oil on panel, 39 x 47 cm in gilt frame measuring 43 x 51 cm.
Signed lower right with E. Strøm Ciacelli.
Good condition.

Elsa Ström-Ciacelli (1876–1952) was a prominent Swedish painter, illustrator, and graphic artist known for bridging the gap between Swedish tradition and Southern European modernism.
Born Elsa Ström in Stockholm on February 14, 1876, she was the daughter of bank chamberlain Axel Fredrik Ström and Emilia Wallin. She received formal training at the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm from 1897 to 1905. Following her studies in Sweden, she traveled extensively across Europe to refine her craft.
