Flo Jaouen - DANS LE VIF DU SUJET

Flo Jaouen, an emerging artist, graduated from the École des Beaux-Arts de Paris. Her works are part of the Narrative Figuration movement. Fascinated by shapes and human expressions, she draws on the diversity of emotions and personalities as an inexhaustible source of inspiration.

Her paintings go beyond mere representations of poses or actions; they deeply explore states of mind and the interiority of her characters, creating thus private rooms, surface-frontiers and zones of dialogue between consciousness and the unconscious, withdrawal and openness to others, identity and otherness.

Flo Jaouen sees her canvases as theatre stages where she becomes a director, guiding her characters through rich and complex narratives.

Each creation is animated by the same joy and creativity that infused her childhood games when she created imaginary universes.

Today, this playful and imaginative approach is reflected in her works where each canvas becomes the theatre of a new human adventure.

At the time I painted this canvas, I was interested in movement and Expressionism. This work is painted with brush and knife, with energy and speed. Abstraction and figuration go hand in hand. Certificate of authenticity.
