Description from the seller
Flo Jaouen, an emerging artist, graduated from the Beaux-Arts de Paris. Her works are part of the Narrative Figuration movement. Fascinated by shapes and human expressions, she draws from the diversity of emotions and personalities an inexhaustible source of inspiration.
Her paintings go beyond simple representations of postures or actions; they delve deeply into the states of mind and the inner life of her characters, thus creating intimate interiors, border surfaces, and zones of dialogue between consciousness and the unconscious, retreat into oneself and openness toward others, identity and otherness.
Flo Jaouen sees her canvases as theater scenes where she becomes a director, guiding her characters through rich and complex narratives.
Each creation is animated by the same joy and creativity that filled her childhood games when she created imaginary universes.
Today, this playful and imaginative approach is reflected in her works where each canvas becomes the stage of a new human adventure.
At the time I painted this canvas, I was interested in movement and expressionism. This work is painted with brush and knife, with energy and speed. It sits at the border between abstract and figurative.
Inspired by ritual dolls of coming-of-age. With certificate of authenticity.
