Description from the seller
Holophane ceiling light – Prismatic glass and gilded bronze – Part 1, 20th century
Magnificent 20th-century ceiling light, representative of Holophane's craftsmanship, renowned for the excellence of its light diffusion (decorative and foundational to street lighting in France). This Parisian production was made in the 1930s.
The molded pressed glass bowl features a raised geometric pattern with a diamond-point lattice motif. Its prismatic structure provides even, soft, and particularly efficient light — truly Holophane's technical signature.
With a 25 cm diameter, the circular molded brass mount is gilded and adorned with decorative floral-patterned feet (some traces of white paint to be removed). The central elegant cabochon is shaped like a stylized pinecone or acorn. It underscores its elegant Neoclassical inspiration.
A light fixture with no flaws or defects is at once decorative and efficient, ideal for enhancing a classic, Art Deco, or contemporary interior.
Swift and carefully packaged shipping.
