ABOUT THE PRINTING
- Giclée printing in 12 colors.
- Hahnemühle Hemp, a fine art paper with a matte finish and a lightly textured felt structure.
- Photography captured in the Pyrenees mountain range, Spain.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Jaime is a Spanish artist based in Zaragoza. His work is characterized by a certain obsessive tendency for a very careful and balanced composition and the chromatic game of bright colors, with a very personal stamp inspired by the aesthetics of the 90s. His evolutionary maturity is increasingly minimalist, eliminating everything that does not contribute to the final meaning, sticking only to what is capable of transmitting by itself and more disconnected from reality. A good example of this style is the work presented here.
His first exhibition was Live in Zaragoza (2014), at the Centro Cívico Delicias, a collection of photographs of concerts in Zaragoza. The second was Una de seis (2016), at the Cai Joaquín Roncal exhibition hall. It was his first approach to his father's illness: stroke. It was followed by Retuerta (2018, Las Armas), with a series of images that sought to recreate the sensations of the book of the same name by author Jorge Omeñaca. The last one was “Diary in a Waiting Room” (2021), in which he portrayed the loneliness of hospitals from his personal point of view. Finally, as a member of the artistic duo, he presented the art projects De Memoris (photo book, 2022) and Gamopolis (a project that pursued to represent the gamification of urban architecture).
