SUSAN LUPPINO - Lovers

Susan Luppino was born in New York in 1945, and continued her art education in Lima, Peru.
In 1964/65, she moved to Florence for her Junior Year Abroad and took courses at the Academy of Fine Arts, including sculpture. In 1966, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in sculpture from the American University in Washington, D.C., and was appointed to teach at a high school in the same city.
In 1969, she alternated her time in Florence with visits to the United States and other countries. In 1977, her first solo exhibition took place in Florence. From there, her works were exhibited worldwide and became the property of numerous private collectors and public institutions.
The dominant theme of her work is the human figure in its many expressions.

Nel 1964/65 per il Junior Year Abroad si trasferisce a Firenze e all'Accademia delle Belle Arti segue alcuni corsi fra cui quello di scultura. Nel 1966 consegue il Bachelor of Art con indirizzo scultura alla American University di Washington, D.C. e nella stessa città riceve l'incarico di insegnamento in una High School.
Nel 1969 alternerà la permanenza a Firenze con quella negli Stati Uniti ed altri paesi. Nel 1977 si svolge la sua prima mostra personale a Firenze, da lì le sue opere verranno esposte in tutto il mondo e diventeranno proprietà di moltissimi collezionisti privati ​​e istituzioni pubbliche.
Il tema dominante delle sue opere è la figura umana nelle sue molteplici espressioni.
