Description from the seller
“AUREUM” 81 x 65 cm
The goldfish, named thus in Latin, does not swim in water, but in light. Its body does not reflect the world: it transforms it. Each scale is a fragment of stopped sun, a living coin that defies the weight of time. It is neither creature nor object, but a symbol: abundance that breathes, a desire that glides in silence.
In the canvas, the background dissolves into deep, almost infinite shadows, so that the gold not only shines, but emerges as revelation. The fish advances unhurriedly, suspended between reality and dream. Its movement is circular, eternal, as if it traced with its tail the invisible shape of infinity.
It does not represent material wealth, but inner richness: intuition, imagination, the hope that persists even in murky waters. The gold is not just color; it is spiritual energy, fire contained in liquid form. Light is born from it and returns to it, closing a sacred cycle.
The goldfish is the guardian of the depths. It inhabits the subconscious, where thoughts still have no name. To look at it is to remember that beneath the surface there is always something that shines, waiting to be discovered.
