Description from the seller
INDIFFERENCE KILLS
A timeless martyr.
A classical body pierced not only by arrows, but by the symbols of our time.
Indifference Kills arises from the tension between sacredness and urban culture. The traditional iconography of martyrdom is cut through by old-school tattoos: symbols that speak of love, loss, pride and survival. The skin becomes a manifesto. The body becomes a political surface.
The arrows no longer represent only physical persecution. They represent the gaze that goes beyond. Silence. The absence of taking a stand.
Indifference, today, is the most elegant form of violence.
The work creates a powerful visual short circuit: Baroque aesthetics and tattoo culture coexist in a harmonious yet disturbing composition. The result is an iconic, immediate image that is hard to ignore. A secular saint pierced not by hatred, but by a lack of empathy.
Concept:
Indifference kills more slowly than violence, but in a more systemic way. This work is a silent denunciation and an act of visual resistance.
Ideal for:
– Collectors of contemporary conceptual art
– Exhibition spaces with a strong character
– Minimal environments where the artwork can dominate the space
Indifference Kills is not decoration.
It is a stance
