Description from the seller
Ectoplasma Noir, 2026.
43x42x45cm.
A unique sculptural piece that explores the intersection between the two-dimensional plane and spatial volume. This work, with a clearly biomorphic character, stands out for its elegant organic silhouette and the strategic use of negative space through perforations that lighten its visual presence.
Created by the Spanish sculptor Pedro Rey (born 1977). His artistic career began autodidactically in 1998; after attending several learning workshops such as painting, photography, and sculpture, he decided to focus his work on the latter, with sculpture taking center stage in his work in recent years.
Competitions where he has been selected:
-2020. Selected for the International Askatasunarte Competition,
-2021. Selected for the XXV Pere Jou Sculpture Contest.
-2023. Selected for the 17th Premio de Escultura Ciudad de Badajoz.
-2024. Pre-selected for the 61st Reina Sofia Prize.
