Description from the seller
This painting by Stefania Ormas, entitled "Naturaleza", is a work that fuse figurative realism with a strong decorative charge, creating a visual bridge between the human figure and the surrounding environment. At the center of the canvas sits a woman in a meditative and stable pose (legs crossed), conveying a sense of calm and introspection. Her gaze is directed upward and slightly to the side, as if absorbed in a distant thought or in a spiritual vision. She holds a basket of prickly pears (opuntia), fruits typical of Mediterranean and arid regions, which symbolize resilience and fertility in difficult conditions. The bright green of the tunic recalls regeneration and plant life. The background is characterized by a complex pattern of azulejos (decorated tiles) with floral and geometric motifs, suggesting a Mediterranean setting. Stefania Ormas, Italian painter, with a degree in painting from the International Art School in Terni, in recent years has exhibited in several solo and group exhibitions both in Italy and abroad, such as: Casa de la Cultura of Navacerrada, Madrid; Palacio del Infantado in Guadalajara; Museo Reina Sofía - Madrid; RED03 Gallery in Barcelona; Galeria Bernet in Barcelona; Roccartgallery Florence. Her works are present in private collections in Italy, Spain, France, the Netherlands, Germany, America, Taiwan and in public collections such as in the municipality of Gata de Gorgos in Spain. Her artistic research centers on the exploration of the female figure and its deep bond with nature, music and cultural traditions.
