Description from the seller
Apice Ocre, 2026.
This work represents an exercise in visual balance and formal synthesis. Unlike dense forms, this piece uses pure line and angle to inhabit space in a light yet decisive way.
Created by the Spanish sculptor Pedro Rey (1977), his artistic career began autodidactically in 1998; after passing through several learning workshops such as painting, photography, and sculpture, he decided to focus his work on the latter, with sculpture taking full prominence in his work in recent years.
Competitions in which he has been selected:
-2020. Selected for the International Askatasunarte Competition,
-2021. Selected for the XXV Pere Jou Sculpture Competition.
-2023. Selected for the 17th City of Badajoz Sculpture Award.
-2024. Pre-selected for the 61st Reina Sofia Prize.
