Antique Devotional Reliquary with Saint Figure – Gilt Metal and Enamel – Original Case

Interesting antique Christian devotional reliquary featuring a finely detailed gilt metal figure of a saint (possibly Saint Benedict or another monastic saint), depicted with halo and a red enamel quatrefoil cross-shaped backing.

The saint is shown holding a book inscribed with the Latin phrase “MIS SIT ME DOMINUS”, a devotional expression. The figure is richly cast with refined details and mounted on a metal backing structure. It is preserved in its original hinged case, decorated with gilt ornamentation and lined with red fabric.
