With "John Szoke Editions" embossing stamp in the cardboard
Hand-signed by James Rizzi in pencil
In excellent condition
Fully framed in a black aluminum frame with a black mat and anti-reflective glass with UV protection
Dustproof finish of museum quality.
With hanging system, but due to the thickness of the frame it can also be displayed standing upright (see last photo)
James Rizzi was born in 1950 in Brooklyn. He studied at the Florida Art Academy (Gainesville), where he began experimenting with painting, printing techniques and sculpture. In Rizzi’s work you often encounter his birthplace, New York. The paintings sometimes look childlike naïve, with bright colors and radiant cheerfulness. In the art press he is often described as an ‘Urban Primitive Artist’. Rizzi himself says he was influenced by Picasso, Klee and Dubuffet.
