Description from the seller
A beautiful piece of football history is up for sale.
FC Mulhouse was founded in 1893 as Fußball-Club Mühlhausen. Under this name it competed until 1918 (and again between 1940 and 1945). In 1904 FC Mühlhausen joined the German Football Association, prevailed in the first season against Freiburger FC and SV Straßburg and defeated Bayern Munich in the following Southern German circuit. The blue-and-white league team played from 1906 in the Radstadium, from 1921 in the newly built Stade Bourtzwiller and today in the Stade de l’Ill. The greatest sporting achievement was a sixth place in the first French division in the 1934/35 season.
Although at times Peugeot (which runs a large plant near Mulhouse) sponsored FC Mulhouse, the club after World War II played only twice in the top division (1982/83 and 1989/90). Today the club plays in the fourth division, the CFA, the highest amateur league in France.
You are bidding here on a 5% bond of 1000 Francs from 9 August 1921 with No. 112 (see photo) complete with the 19 coupons.
Also very suitable as an eye-catching piece for your own collection, storefront, sports bar, or the like, precisely because it is so rare to see, and when it is, only at special exhibitions. I am currently liquidating my very extensive football collection or small museum, therefore there is a unique opportunity to bid on these extraordinary items, some of which I have also presented on German television.
