Paolo KOZMA - 1001 NIGHTS

Created in the intensity of a live performance, 1001 Nights is not just a painting — it is the physical trace of a lived moment.

1001 Nights is part of the larger project “Je ne regrette rien”, a concept performance created by me on the music of Rammstein, during which I painted an extraordinary 70-meter-long canvas.

In this work, my body became the brush. Movement replaced the traditional gesture. Breath, rhythm, pulse — all transferred directly onto the canvas. Guided by music, story, and raw emotion, each mark was born in real time, without rehearsal, without correction. What you see is pure presence.

Layers of vibrant color collide and embrace, suggesting passion, tension, sensuality, and freedom. The composition pulses with energy; sweeping gestures intertwine with explosive chromatic accents, creating a dynamic field that feels both instinctive and intentional.

Every splash, every imprint carries the memory of sound and movement. The music dictated tempo; the story shaped intensity; emotion determined color. There is no separation between artist and artwork here — the canvas absorbed the performance itself.

The artwork will be shipped as a rolled, unstretched canvas for safe delivery. Packaged in tube box and wrapped properly.
Rolled works can be easily stretched (for canvas works, i.e. placed onto wooden stretcher bars) and/or framed by a local framer upon arrival completely normal for rolled canvas. Minor waves or creases may be visible upon arrival, which is completely normal for rolled canvas. These will disappear once the canvas is stretched or framed by a professional framer.

All my shipments will be made through DHL EXPRESS or a similar company, always trying to guarantee the safety, care and efficient delivery of the work. However, delays that may occur in the case of goods are beyond my control; I will always be attentive to tracking the shipment and any incident that may arise, being at the customer's disposal to provide appropriate assistance and support.
