Description from the seller
Original work by CASH RIOT, created in mixed media.
Giclée print and acrylic paint pen on a $100 bill (reproduction).
Presented by The Ledger Gallery
CASH RIOT is a contemporary artist exploring the relationship between power, value, and collective illusion.
His work diverts monetary symbols in order to interrogate the desire, status, and authority of money as a symbol of power, belief, and collective manipulation.
He does not paint money. He paints what money does to people.
His aesthetic blends neo-pop, urban culture, and contemporary iconography into visually striking compositions.
Rather than celebrate money, CASH RIOT deconstructs its authority. Each work transforms a symbol of control into a surface of expression — a space where power figures, modern icons, and collective myths are reassessed.
His direct approach, both critical and visually engaging, gives him a singular place on the contemporary scene, at the crossroads of pop art and activist art.
