Chrome Olympia Kong, a 2019 resin sculpture by the French artist Richard Orlinski, measuring 13 cm high by 10 cm wide and unsigned, in a contemporary style with argent colour, edition Chrome Olympia and a certificate of authenticity, described as extremely rare and with visible manufacturing defects and blue stains.
Description from the seller
This is a chrome Kong Olympia - the model is extremely rare.
They were reserved for VIPs on the day of the show “Tête de Kong” by Richard Orlinski on June 17, 2019 at the Olympia in Paris.
The blue Kong Olympia pieces were on sale on the day of the show, whereas the chrome versions were exclusively for VIPs!
His show is co-written by Laurent Baffie.
The Kong Olympia is recognizable by its box and its specific certificate.
It was the very first affordable work created by the artist.
Not long after, Richard Orlinski marketed the Kong Spirit blue and the Kong Spirit silver.
The Kong Olympia is therefore not a Kong Spirit but indeed the very first Kong marketed by Orlinski.
Its color is exclusive.
Here is therefore a chrome Olympia Kong that is extremely rare, with a certificate of authenticity designed to be numbered at the base.
The Kong is in a condition deemed acceptable but with many defects and blue stains.
I think the manufacturing defects of this silver Olympia Kong are original, and that the latter should not have been where it was located... I think this Kong is unique because it was certainly meant to be kept as a draft or prototype.
