Jesper Ejsing - original illustration, pencil drawing, circle 15 cm x 15 cm
Jesper Ejsing was born in Denmark in 1973. Always passionate about fantasy works and especially Middle-earth, at just 14 he received his first Dungeons & Dragons. If the revolutionary game by Gygax stimulated Jesper's creativity, Larry Elmore's illustrations became a professional goal to follow in his footsteps to become a fantasy artist.
He studied Danish literature and Art History; during his academic years he became a freelance illustrator famous in Denmark. In the early years as a full-time illustrator he created illustrations and graphics for various publishers, without being able to give a personal touch, but soon he was able to focus on fantasy and historical commissions, as he had always desired.
At only thirty years old he achieved the long-awaited first assignment for Dungeons & Dragons and has not left the world of illustration for the game, becoming an icon for the most famous card games such as Magic: The Gathering, Hearthstone, Warcraft.
This is one of the original illustrations created in November 2025 within the Performance Area of the Lucca Comics & Games international festival. By participating in this auction you not only can win a work signed by a great author, but you also contribute to the charity project that for over 25 years brings together at Lucca the world's greatest artists to create images for charitable purposes.
