Greg Staples - original illustration, ink, circle cm 15 x 15
Greg Staples is a British award-winning illustrator and artist, celebrated for his evocative style and dark, atmospheric tones. He made his debut in 1990 on 2000 AD with Judge Dredd, a character he continues to work on today. He is internationally known for his illustrations for Magic: The Gathering and for horror projects such as The Horror Stories of Robert E. Howard, with forays into cinema and video games (World War Z, Hellboy, Dredd). Among his more recent works are prints dedicated to the Universal Monsters, the covers of Conan the Barbarian, and a piece selected for the Hammer Films reissue of The Curse of Frankenstein.
This is one of the original illustrations created in November 2025 within the Performance Area of the Lucca Comics & Games international festival. By participating in this auction you not only can win a work signed by a great author, but you also contribute to the charity project that for over 25 years brings together Lucca’s top artists from around the world to create images for charitable purposes.
