Longines - 2040820 - 1900-1949

Rare steel Longines pocket watch, model “Bull’s-Eye,” with a circular window on the front cover that allows immediate reading (a brilliant idea beloved by railway workers and travelers). The serial number 2040820 indicates the era of 1902, manual-wind movement. The refined, essential dial is easy to read, with a white background and Arabic numerals. The screw-down case back has a double lid engraved with the logo and catalog number, the logo also on the movement (see photo). On the case, at 4 o’clock, the small lever for setting the time also allows the hands to be rested. The piece is in excellent condition and, cared for with attention, retains its patina. Serviced and cleaned, perfectly functioning. Provenance: family heirloom. Made in Switzerland
