Description from the seller
Work mounted on a stretcher frame
In this scene, I aimed to translate a moment of hushed solitude, as if suspended in the bustle of a bar. The dimmed light and the silent shadows envelop the figure, lost in thought.
I love those moments when the noise of the world seems to fade, giving way to the intimacy of a presence that is both fragile and strong.
Florence Yangui is a French painter whose work explores light and the silences of urban life. Between nocturnal scenes, asphalt reflections and sensitive portraits, her works capture suspended moments, at the boundary between the real and the poetic. Her painting, figurative and contemporary, plays with contrasts to reveal the hidden emotion of cities and faces. Primarily executed in oil or acrylic, her approach is at once intimate and outward-looking, seeking to illuminate the shadows of everyday life.
