XTC, Mc Caviar Black Red Straw, 2025, edition 15/15, a sculpture in wood, glass and plastic with dimensions 25 cm high by 18 cm wide by 18 cm deep, signed by hand, made in France, featuring an integral glass cloche, with a COA provided.
Description from the seller
McCaviar black and gold cone with its red straw by XTC.
Probably XTC's most emblematic work to date, in black and gold.
A deconstruction of a McDonald’s cone, a future luxurious dish in fast-food form? Not so impossible!
This is not a cardboard McDonald's cone; it was created from plastics and painted by XTC.
The glass cloche is an integral part of the work.
Signed and numbered 1/15 (the last in this series) on the bottom, Certificate of Authenticity (COA) provided.
(The shipped specimen is not necessarily the one in the photo)
Careful packaging and tracked shipping.
Born in 1978 in the heart of France, XTC has shaped his artistic universe through an interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual inquiry has become a passion that was meant to be realized.
XTC defines himself as a self-taught plastic artist, aligning with the Pop Art movement, through the appropriation of contemporary consumer goods.
His creativity expresses itself through bold staging of icons of popular consumption (such as McDonald's, Malabar, Chupa), which he makes collide with the world of luxury (including Chanel, Hermès, Veuve Clicquot champagne, and Caviar) and Street Art, further blurring the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds.
He expresses his art through sculpture, blending painting with all kinds of resins, plastics, and sometimes minerals.
He draws inspiration, among others, from Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey, advertising, and addiction in general.
All potential flaws or imperfections are an integral part of the artwork.
