Description from the seller
White McKGB cone in a box frame for wall display by XTC.
A subversion of a McDonald’s and KFC cone.
This is not a cardboard McDonaldo cone; it was created from plastic materials and painted by XTC.
The frame is part of the artwork. It comes with a plastic pane, and you can display it with or without it, as in the photos. Wall-mounted or freestanding.
Signed and numbered on the back out of 20, Certificate of Authenticity (COA) provided.
The shipped piece is not necessarily the exact one in the photo but will be similar.
Careful, trackable shipping.
Born in 1978 in the heart of France, XTC has shaped his artistic universe through an interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration evolved into a passion that was to be realized.
XTC defines himself as a self-taught visual artist, aligning with the Pop Art movement through the subversion of contemporary consumer goods.
His creativity is expressed through bold staging of icons of popular consumption (such as McDonald’s, Malabar, Chupa), which he makes collide with the world of luxury (including Chanel, Hermes, Veuve Clicquot champagne, and caviar) and Street Art, further blurring the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds.
He expresses his art through sculpture, mixing painting with all kinds of resins, plastics, and sometimes mineral materials.
He draws inspiration, among others, from Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey, advertising, and addictions in general.
All defects or imperfections are an integral part of the work.
