Christofle - Tray - Silverplated

Silver-plated serving tray produced by the prestigious luxury silversmith house Christofle during the second half of the 20th century.

This model bears the inscription « Chrisotel », a contraction of Christofle and hotel, indicating its original destination for a hotel establishment, very likely upscale. Chrisotel is indeed a line used by Christofle for its professional productions intended for hospitality and catering (trays, cutlery and objects in silver plate). This designation appears on pieces specially made for institutional use, distinct from the classic retail line.

Pieces marked Chrisotel sometimes bear a specific engraved hallmark, identifying them as Christofle items designed for hotel use.

Condition: excellent overall condition.
