"La Concipiente" is a wall sculpture by Francioni Mastromarino.

The work embodies the Woman Creator, capable of generating not only in the body but also in spirit and thought. In her reflect intuition, the ability to welcome and transform, emotional intelligence, and a deep understanding of the world.
Her "nest," which inspires the hairdo in the sculpture, is a physical and symbolic place where ideas, emotions, and relationships intertwine to become new beginnings. The name “Concipiente,” from the Latin con-capere, means “to take upon oneself” and “to understand”: a double meaning that guides the inspiration of the work, which reflects on the female power to absorb, feel, and create connections between interiority and the external world.
Signed in collaboration by Eleonora Francioni and Antonio Mastromarino, the work stems from an artistic and human collaboration that has lasted for over twenty years where artistic research is conceived in synergy.
Traditional techniques merge with a contemporary vision of form and symbol. The sculpture is made of acrylic resin mixed with rice husk (a byproduct of polishing rice transformed into a resource and made durable), resting on an aluminum sheet. The choice of materials embodies the authors’ commitment to concrete sustainability.
