A magnificent copy in boards with text in red and black and numerous wood engravings by Adolfo De Carolis, in black-and-white and in red monochrome, interspersed in the text or framing the text itself. Publisher’s binding in full coarse cloth, flexible with ties and a laurel crown, at the center of which a book pierced by a sword and the Dantean quotation “Noi leggevamo” are gilt-impressed on the front board, and gilt titles impressed on the spine.
