Title: "The First Stroke"
Description:
Every journey begins with a small moment – a first step, a first movement. In this picture, it is the first stroke of black paint that breaks the silence of the white surface. It seems spontaneous, almost bold, as if the paint has decided to find its own path.
From this single impulse, further traces spread out: drops, lines, and small fragments that disperse in space. They tell of movement, experimentation, and the courage to simply begin, without knowing exactly where the path will lead.
"The First Stroke" reminds us that every idea, every work of art, and every change begins with a single moment – the moment when one dares to make the first stroke.

The canvas is delivered rolled.
Christoph Prein is an Austrian artist known for his abstract and contemporary works, primarily created with acrylic paints. Originally from St. Margarethen bei Knittelfeld, Prein’s pieces are often characterized by a minimalist, abstract style and are carefully produced from high-quality materials to ensure vibrant colors and durability. In his art, he frequently explores themes such as identity, memory, and human emotion, often pushing the boundaries between the visible and the invisible.
Prein’s approach to art is multidimensional, combining painting with elements of sculpture and installation. This unique style has earned him recognition both in Austria and internationally, with exhibitions across Europe, North America, and Asia. His works invite the viewer to reflect on the complexities of the modern world and the deeper aspects of human experience.
For a painting measuring 210 x 110 cm, you need a stretcher with the size 200 x 100 cm and a thickness of 2-4 cm.
You can either stretch the canvas yourself or have it stretched by an artisan or gallery.
This is a handmade original, signed by the artist on the back and dated.
High-quality, lightfast acrylic paints were used on multiple coats of white primed gallery canvas.
A varnish was also applied to protect the work.
This work is handmade and thus unique!
--- Authenticity certificate included ---
Beautify your private residence, law firm, practice, or office and upgrade your spaces in an elegant and stylish way.
When a person ventures into his innermost depths, into a sphere that rarely comes to light, into a space that is mysteriously and hiddenly waiting to be discovered, tickled awake, and even tormentedly uplifted, then art is born.
