Title: "Lost Contours"
Description:
These are the moments when nothing is clearly defined anymore and yet everything feels real. Cool blue tones flow into one another, as if memories lose their fixed forms and reorganize. Between the layers a quiet movement arises – a pause that leaves room for feeling.
When viewed, there are no clear figures, but traces of closeness, of change, of something deeply human. The painting acts like a mirror of inner states: insecure, open, vulnerable and at the same time calm. In the blurred transitions there is no emptiness, but a gentle truth – that not everything has to be clear to carry meaning.
-
The cracks in the painting are intentional.
They are not a sign of damage, but part of the artistic expression. The fractures belong to the surface as scars belong to the skin: they tell of tension, movement, and the process itself. Precisely through these cracks the work gains depth and authenticity – nothing is smoothed out, nothing hidden.
The canvas is delivered rolled.
Christoph Prein is an Austrian artist known for his abstract and contemporary works, primarily created with acrylic paints. Originally from St. Margarethen near Knittelfeld, Prein’s pieces are often characterized by a minimalist, abstract style and are crafted from high-quality materials to ensure vibrant colors and longevity. In his art, he frequently engages themes such as identity, memory, and the exploration of human emotions, often blurring the lines between the visible and the invisible.
Prein’s approach to art is multidimensional, combining painting with elements of sculpture and installation. This unique style has earned him recognition in Austria and internationally, with exhibitions across Europe, North America, and Asia. His works often invite the viewer to reflect on the complexities of the modern world and the deeper aspects of the human experience.
For a painting with dimensions 200 x 120 cm you need a stretcher size 190 x 110 cm with a thickness of 2-4 cm.
You can then either simply stretch the canvas yourself or have it stretched by an artisan or gallery owner.
This is a handmade original, signed and dated by the artist on the back.
High-quality and light-fast acrylic paints have been applied on repeatedly white-primed gallery canvas.
A varnish was also applied to protect the work.
This work is handmade and therefore unique!
--- Authenticity certificate included ---
Beautify your private residence, law firm, practice, or office and upgrade your spaces in an elegant and stylish manner.
When a person ventures into his innermost depths, into a sphere that rarely comes to light, into a space that is mysteriously and hiddenly waiting to be discovered, tickled awake, and also painfully brought forth, then art is born.
