Description from the seller
Pectaurus / Ratz One (2021)
The artwork is sold with a certificate of authenticity.
Unique and original work
The artwork measures 40.5 x 40.5 cm.
Mixed media: Spray, acrylic, ink
On a metal cabinet door
Imagined around the poem "If" (you will be a man, my son) by Rudyard Kipling and the subject of toxic masculinity, taking the traits of a human dressed as a Minotaur.
Ratz One is a muralist rooted in graffiti who stands out with a vibrant and ultra-colorous universe. His signature technique relies on layering: he blends reading planes, materials and supports to create complex works that catch the eye.
His animal representations, far from being fixed in simple symbolism, become vectors of awareness. They remind us of the urgency to preserve this living richness, to reconnect with the beauty and diversity of nature, and to reflect on the place of these animals in our cities, our environment, and the world we shape. Each work is an open door to dialogue, where each individual can take ownership of the subject according to their history, their life experiences and their culture. It is an invitation to travel, to discover, to protect.
