Chevignon vintage genuine leather men's jacket in brown, size M, made in France, in good condition with very light signs of wear.
Description from the seller
CHEVIGNON VERA PELLE VINTAGE
The jacket is a classic Double Rider (or biker) model, characterized by the asymmetrical zip closure, large lapels with snap buttons, and an integrated waist belt with a metal buckle.
• Unique Detail: The most evident feature is the three-quarter sleeves. It’s an unusual cut for a traditional men’s leather jacket, which suggests a custom piece, a sartorial re-cut, or a model designed for a more avant-garde or summer/feminine style. It gives a much more dynamic look and allows bracelets or the under-jacket to be shown.
Quality and Type of Leather
From the labels and the photos, we can deduce a lot about the quality:
• Material: The label reads "Genuine Leather" (Cuir Véritable). The grain visible in the photos indicates a cowhide of medium-to-high thickness, treated to achieve a distressed (aged) effect.
• Patina: The leather shows a beautiful variation in tone, with shades ranging from dark brown to burnt leather. This kind of wear is not a defect but a sought-after vintage trait: it indicates the leather is dense and has "come to life" over time.
• Robustness: The inscription "Extra Strength Experiment" on the internal patch underscores Chevignon’s philosophy of creating indestructible pieces, almost like technical gear.
Fit and Size (M vs S)
Although the label lists size M, there are several reasons it’s perfect for someone who usually wears a S:
1. Vintage Cut: Chevignon jackets from the 80s and 90s often had structured shoulders but a very short, snug waist (crop fit).
2. The Sleeves Factor: Since the sleeves are shortened, on a size S the “shoulder drop” effect would be less bothersome, maintaining a proportioned silhouette without the arms looking out of proportion to the torso.
3. Layering: Being a stiff leather, wearing an M if you’re a S lets you put a hoodie or a heavy sweater underneath without feeling "stuffed", while still keeping that oversized look that’s very in fashion today.
Technical Specifications
• Brand: Chevignon (W.R.D Line / Legend Jacket).
• Lining: 100% black Nylon, ideal for breathability and ease of wear.
• Details: Diagonal zip pockets with metal studs reinforcing the stress points.
