Description from the seller

Herend Hungaria – Set of 6 dinner plates – Model 503 – Hand-painted porcelain – 1944

Refined set composed of six deep plates in fine porcelain from the historic Hungarian porcelain manufacturer Herend, one of the most prestigious European factories of artistic porcelain, renowned for the quality of workmanship and for decorations made entirely by hand.

The plates feature an elegant hand-painted green floral decoration, with a delicate central bouquet accompanied by small floral motifs distributed along the rim. The skirt is enriched by a characteristic woven “basket weave” relief, a decorative element typical of the manufactory that creates a refined play of light on the glazed surface.

The slightly wavy edge with a thin green edge completes the design harmoniously, imparting great elegance and lightness to the overall look.

On the bottom is present the blue Herend Hungaria mark with the Hungarian crest and crossed brushes dated 1944, in addition to the stamp impressed in the paste and the model number 503, elements that attest to the authenticity and high quality of the production.

This set represents an elegant example of European tradition of high-end porcelain and is ideal for both collectors and to adorn a refined table.
