Waltham "Ensign" Pocket Watch – USA ca. 1904 – 7 Jewels – 3-Layer Gold Case – Runs Flawlessly
General Condition:
For sale is a beautiful antique pocket watch from the renowned American Waltham Watch Co. dating to 1904. The watch is in a remarkably good original condition and is fully functional.
Movement (Mechanism):
Manufacturer: American Waltham Watch Co. (USA).
Model/Grade: Ensign.
Serial Number: 13871298 (dated to circa 1904).
Jewels: 7 Jewels.
Condition: The movement runs reliably and cleanly. Very nice engravings on the plates.
Case (Case):
Manufacturer: Philadelphia Watch Case Co.
Material: High-quality gold-filled (3-layer gilding / Gold Filled).
Condition: Very good overall preservation without visible wear (no brassing). Classic guilloché engraving on the lid with a free shield for initials.
Type: Open Face.
Dial & Hands:
Dial: White enamel dial with Arabic numerals. Very clean condition (no visible hairlines).
Hands: Delicate, blued or gold-plated "Louis XIV" ornamental hands.
Seconds: Small seconds at the 6 o’clock position.
