Bruno Cantais, a professional painter based in Lyon, is registered with the Maison des Artistes.
Born in 1966 in Le Havre.
Bruno Cantais explores several techniques, ranging from an abstract expressionism in the vein of Rauschenberg, to matter projections, to Pop Art collage, or to expressionism.
He probes the surface of the canvas, carving grooves that seem to open pathways or sometimes fade into the mists of color.
His inspiration is order and disorder, of what is felt and what is perceived, of shadow and light, of emptiness and fullness.
