Tere Ormazabal, born in Bilbao, Spain.
Photographic artist with an extensive career in creation, teaching and institutional collaboration.
Holder of a degree in Geography and History from the UPV-EHU, she has developed work focused on artistic photography and alternative techniques such as cyanotype, Van Dyke brown, liquid emulsion, lithographic film and image transfers both Polaroid and digital emulsion transfer.
Her work has been exhibited in numerous galleries and cultural centers of the Basque Country since the late nineties and has received national photography awards.

Anonymous Presence Series

This series arises from my experience as a multiple myeloma patient and my passion for photography. My self-portraits explore vulnerability, transformation and resilience in the face of the disease, showing an internal process that is not always externally visible. The series seeks to offer a different view on cancer, convey authenticity and remind that there is beauty in vulnerability.
