THE ARTWORK
Lost Light features a motionless astronaut in front of a shop lit by a tired neon. The word OPEN still shines in the night, while everything around seems deserted, frozen, almost out of time. The spacesuit, a symbol of conquest and the future, becomes a useless armor in the face of a world emptied of warmth.
The contrast between artificial light and the surrounding silence creates a bittersweet tension. The work evokes the loss of bearings, the illusion of perpetual light, and that universal feeling of being present in a place that no longer expects anyone.

ARTIST’S WORD
« There remains sometimes a light on, not to guide, but to remind what has gone out. »

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Rudy Barret (@rudy_barret_photographe) explores contemporary disillusionment, urban loneliness, and the dissonance between promise and reality through visually charged scenes with strong symbolic weight.
His work stands out for a cinematic approach, quiet storytelling, and precise, sensitive post-processing (Photoshop CC & Lightroom).
Each piece acts as a suspended moment, inviting the viewer to project their own story into the light… or into its absence.
