“Musical Composition”

In Musical Composition I explore the relation between form, rhythm, and sound through a pictorial construction based on geometry and color. The musical instruments — guitar, trumpet, and keyboard — appear integrated within a structure of planes that fragment space and generate a constant visual movement.

The composition is organized like a visual score where each shape acts as a note within a rhythmic system. Circles, diagonals, and chromatic surfaces articulate the scene, creating tensions and equilibria that evoke the dynamic nature of music.

I work the painting in layers of acrylic that allow building color with intensity and clarity. The reds, turquoises, yellows, and blues establish a vibrant chromatic dialogue that brings energy to the work, while the visible brushstroke preserves the manual and expressive character of painting.

More than representing instruments literally, the work proposes a visual interpretation of sound. In this sense, Musical Composition turns painting into a space where rhythm, geometry, and color combine to create an experience close to music.
