Pioneer SX-450 stereo receiver, manufactured in 1976, in excellent physical condition and tested and working, includes power cable.
Description from the seller
The Pioneer SX-450 is a 15-watt per channel FM/MW stereo receiver with FM muting, tape monitor switch, and provision for 2 pairs of speakers. The unit uses a direct-coupled OCL circuit in the power amplifier with a first-stage differential amplifier. The high sensitivity on FM is ensured by a low-noise FET in the front end with a 3-gang variable capacitor tuned in frequency. The SX-450 is equipped with numerous manual controls, including bass and treble tone controls.
Build quality is very solid. Given its age, this SX-450 looks excellent, thanks in part to the two side panels that have been refurbished. The original selling price of the SX-450 was $200 in 1976, the year of production. By Pioneer Audio's own admission, the SX-450 was an entry-level stereo receiver, which they even stated in their advertisements at the time.
From a sonic point of view, the SX-450 is impressive. It has an overall very pleasing timbre, which pairs well with a wide variety of speakers. The Pioneer SX-450 will be meticulously packed and shipped insured. Please study the photos carefully to avoid any misunderstandings.
