About the artist
Maria Ruissi, born in 1983, is a design engineer, researcher and contemporary artist.
Since 2018, she has been developing an in-depth artistic research around materials, textures and the interactions between light, surface and emotion. Her work sits within an experimental, demanding approach, blending scientific rigor with artistic sensibility.
Each work is the fruit of a slow, evolving process, sometimes spread over several months. Maria Ruissi works in successive phases, regularly integrating new materials, new pigments and new treatments, to reach a precise balance between depth, energy and visual legibility.
