Beautiful religious statue of Saint Anthony of Padua with the Child Jesus, crafted in bisque and hand-painted. The saint carries the Child Jesus in his arm, who rests on a book. In his other hand he holds a branch with lilies, the traditional symbol associated with this saint.

The statue is richly decorated with blue motifs and gilded accents.
Around the waist the saint wears a rosary with cross.
The pedestal is also ornately finished with blue and gold ornaments.

Such devotional statues were often placed in home altars or chapels and are today cherished by collectors of religious art.
