Molecule is a series composed of eight canvases that arrange themselves like fragments of the same visual structure, evoking the logic of molecular bonds. Each painting functions as an autonomous unit, but it is in the ensemble that the work fully reveals its strength — just as in a molecule, where different elements connect to form a complex and dynamic system.
The composition expands through curved and geometric forms that seem to glide between the canvases, creating a sense of continuous movement. Intense shades of orange contrast with deep blues and luminous greens, generating a vibrant chromatic dialogue that guides the viewer’s eye from fragment to fragment. The lines, overlays and transparencies suggest energy in circulation, as if we were observing a formation, transformation or reaction in progress.
The modular arrangement of the eight canvases reinforces the idea of interdependence: each segment contains only part of the visual narrative, inviting the audience to mentally reconstruct the total image. The space between the canvases becomes, thus, as important as the painting itself, functioning as visual pauses that amplify rhythm, tension and continuity.
In Molecule, the abstract language approaches a scientific and poetic metaphor at the same time. The series invites reflection on systems, connections and balance — reminding us that, just as the matter that makes up the world, also in art small units can come together to generate complex, vibrant, and lively structures.
