Nathalie Matis, Vanité florale, a contemporary sculpture in transparent resin with a red enameled porcelain flower inside a skull, dimensions 7 × 7.5 × 10 cm, weight 376 g, signed, dated 2025, origin Spain, in excellent condition, with certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
This contemporary sculpture engages in dialogue the transparency of resin and the delicate presence of a red glazed porcelain flower, frozen at the center of the skull. A symbol of fragility and vitality, the flower contrasts with the skull’s strength, evoking the tension between life and finitude.

- I created my image for Falen Art with the aim of building a unique, modern, and elegant visual identity capable of representing my artistic work and values.
After studying graphic design in Namur and a strong passion for travel and cultural diversity, Natalie Matis’s vocation for porcelain was born in China during a trip.
Upon returning to Belgium, she joined the Porcepolis workshop in Brussels, where she deepened her particular taste for porcelain; she loves this material for its whiteness, nobility, translucency, intimacy with glaze, and softness.
She offers a range of decorative objects with a clean design.
For several years, Nathalie Matis has refined her study of ceramics in various workshops and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Braine l’Alleud with ceramicist Geert van Der Borght.
Passionate about ceramics, she continues to explore different techniques as a self-taught artist and has a marked fascination with raku, a mysterious encounter of mastery and randomness, a fragile adventure between the potter’s dream and metamorphosis.
