AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

This painting was made in the terrible year of COVID. Something so unreal and cinematic gave plenty to think about. It seemed we had the opportunity to start anew, to tell a different story, perhaps with people with square heads living in fantastical places. A painting that invites the imagination to take flight and that highlights and brings life to any environment. This work is shipped rolled up in a tube with its Certificate of Authenticity.

María Burgaz (1970) knew from a very young age that her calling was art. She began her training at the School of Decorative Arts in Madrid, earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Complutense University of Madrid in the Painting specialization in 1993. Later she completed her studies at FIT in New York.
Winner of competitions such as the Wellington Foundation, Professional Football Foundation, Women and Society, Iberdrola-UEX, UNED, Eugenio Hermoso, Gran Casino de Torrelodones… her work, in addition to being part of the collections of these institutions, is also in the collections of town halls such as Gibraleón, Valdemoro, Martos, Horche, and the Alicante Provincial Council…
She has held dozens of solo and group exhibitions in Spain and abroad, and her work is also found in numerous private collections worldwide.
Her industrious and enthusiastic approach has led her to participate in all kinds of projects and to collaborate with designers, writers, and anything that allows her to express everything she carries inside. Her work always reveals the stage of life she is living, her vitality, and her particular sense of humor and way of understanding life, always with mastery of techniques that she combines and juxtaposes to create unique paintings of great narrative and technical richness.
Her works always include a certificate of authenticity, and when they are on canvas they are shipped rolled in a rigid tube for greater security.
